The following is a news release from the Lubbock Police Department:
Just before 4:30 p.m., investigators with the Lubbock Police Department Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant of a home in the 1500 block of 24th Street as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. Due to the nature of the investigation, LPD SWAT assisted with the warrant. Investigators were able to locate cocaine inside the home during the search.
As a result of the search warrant, a total of five people were arrested. Four people were arrested for unrelated outstanding warrants. One person, Kevin Runels, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and tampering with evidence.
