Lubbock Police Department investigators have made an arrest in connection to a string of robberies along 34th Street over the last week. Andrew Pinkins, 20, is now in the Lubbock County Detention Center charged with four robberies.
Those robberies include the following:
- Friday, March 30th at 9p.m. – Family Dollar at 4426 34th Street
- Saturday, March 31st at 11:20 p.m. – EZ Mart at 4426 34th Street

- Thursday, April 5th at 9:30 p.m. – Subway restaurant at 4923 34th Street
Detectives with the LPD Persons Crimes Unit quickly determined it was the same suspect in the first three robberies. Due to these robberies occurring in the same area just days apart, patrol officers and Crime Suppression investigators began focusing their attention on the area.
Thursday night, after reports of the fourth robbery, Crime Suppression investigators quickly located the possible suspect vehicle. This led investigators to a home in the 4300 block of 31st Street, not far from the Subway, where they found a male matching the suspect description.
Based on information gathered at the scene, the suspect, Andrew Pinkins, was arrested for the Subway robbery that had just occurred. After further questioning by Persons Crimes detectives, three arrest warrants were issued and served Friday afternoon for the Family Dollar, EZ Mart and 7-11 robberies.
