The following is a press release from Lubbock Police:

Crash Investigators with the Lubbock Police Department are searching for possible witnesses of a deadly crash earlier this month.

Lubbock Police Officers were called to the 4700 block of 4th street, at 2:12 a.m., Thursday, September 6th, following reports that a Chevrolet Impala had crashed into a utility pole.

Upon arrival, officers located the driver of the car, 29-year-old Kevin Flores, who was the sole occupant. Flores was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time it appears Flores was driving eastbound when the car left the roadway, crossed the center turn lane, as well as the westbound lanes of traffic, and struck a utility pole on the north side of 4th street.

LPD is asking anyone who may have seen the crash or anyone who may have information that could assist in the investigation to call the crash investigator at (806) 775-2757.
