The Lubbock Police Department and UMC EMS crews were dispatched to a home in Central Lubbock late Saturday afternoon following reports of a stabbing.

The incident was reported just before 5:00 p.m. in the 2800 block of 61st Street.

Lubbock Police told EverythingLubbock.com officers were dispatched to a home in reference to a domestic disturbance between a brother and sister.

Police said a male victim, in his late 20s, was taken to University Medical Center with a stab wound.

At last report, the stabbing victim was listed in stable condition. 

A female at the home was taken into custody by police on scene. 

The incident remains under investigation. 

The names of the victim and the arrestee have not been released.
