The following is a news release from the Lubbock Police Department:

 Lubbock Police officers were called to Frenship High School at 12:08 p.m. on Friday, December 1st in response to reports of a gun seen on campus.

The first Lubbock Police Officer was on scene within three minutes of the initial call, at 12:11 p.m.

Lubbock Police Officers, along with the Lubbock Police Department SWAT team responded in an assistant capacity to the Frenship ISD Police Department, as well as the Lubbock County Sheriff’s office.

The all clear for the Frenship High School building was given just before 4 o’clock this afternoon.

The Lubbock Police Department will continue to assist the Frenship Police Department and the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office as the investigation continues.
