A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in West Lubbock Monday morning, according to police. 

The accident occurred around 7:45 a.m. in area of 19th Street (State Highway 114) and Inler Avenue. 

The Lubbock Police Department told EverythingLubbock.com the pedestrian suffered moderate injuries after being hit by a pickup truck.

The pedestrian, identified as a construction worker, was transported to the hospital. 

Police said two additional traffic accidents were also reported in the same area moments later. 

One of the crashes involved a pickup truck and an SUV, while the other involved three vehicles.

Only minor injuries were reported in these crashes, LPD said.
