LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock Police responded to a home in the 2200 block of 26th Street Monday at about 8:15 pm.

Police were told there had been an argument between a man and a woman in the home. Police said the man shot a gun toward a closet.

At first police indicated the man was barricaded inside and neighbors were evacuated.

Later, police said the woman was able to get the gun from the man before she left the house.

Police said the situation was “de-escalated” by 10:00 pm and neighbors were allowed to go back to their homes.

“No arrests have been made at this time; however, the incident remains under investigation,” police said.
