On Thursday, Lubbock Police issued a statement concerning the second of two stabbing cases that happened Wednesday.
The first case was in the 4600 block of 67th Street, and the second was in the 5600 block of Avenue A. The police statement is as follows:
Lubbock Police Officers responded to the 5600 block of Avenue A, at 5:49 p.m. Wednesday, July 25th, following reports of a robbery. Upon arrival, officers located a male with multiple stab wounds. The male was transported to UMC with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. At this time it appears the victim was walking in the 200 block of 60th street, when he was approached by several suspects, who then assaulted and robbed the victim. The victim was able to leave the scene and walk to the 5600 block of Avenue A to request help. An investigation is underway.
