The following is a press release from the City of Lubbock:
Lubbock Animal Services will extend its free adoption event through the close of business on Monday, March 5.
The Lubbock Animal Shelter Adoption Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and closed on Sunday. The center is located at 3323 SE Loop 289.
Adoption includes the spay or neuter procedure, first set of vaccinations, microchip implant, and registration. Identification is required to complete an adoption. For more information about the adoption process, visit mylubbock.us/animalservices.
In addition to the free adoptions, the moratorium on euthanizations of adoptable pets will remain in place through the close of business on Monday, as long as the population does not reach a point where staff cannot maintain a safe and clean environment for animals under the shelter’s care.
