Hoping to get more dogs into their forever homes, Lubbock Animal Services has created special promotions for each day of the week throughout the month of February.
There is over 400 dogs in the Lubbock Animal Services facility, and shelter director Steven Greene, said they created these different themed days to help increase the amount of dogs going to their forever homes after the holidays.
“Everyone is getting back into a routine after the holidays, and animal services kind of gets forgotten about,” Greene said.
There is mini dog Monday, tall dog Tuesday, white dog Wednesday, thankful dog Thursday, furry dog Friday and senior dog Saturday. Every dog that matches the description will be free to adopt that day.
