The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce received an Award of Excellence from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives 2017 Awards for Communications Excellence (ACE).

The ACE awards recognize outstanding communications efforts by chambers of commerce. The Chamber was honored in the campaigns category for its Go Vote Lubbock campaign. The campaign category consists of entries events, advocacy/public policy campaigns, awards programs, economic development campaigns, branding initiatives and membership drives/campaigns.

“This is a great recognition for our Chamber and we are honored to receive it,” said Diannah Tatum, Lubbock Chamber Chairwoman. “This can be added to the Chamber’s list of accomplishments.”

The Chamber’s Political Action Committee (PAC) teamed with The Price Group for the Go Vote Lubbock campaign. The Lubbock PAC’s main objective with the Go Vote Lubbock campaign was to encourage voter turnout in the May 2016 municipal election. The Price Group took home the coveted “Best of Show” Television Spot at the 2017 Lubbock Advertising Federation Addy Awards for this campaign as well.

The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce represents over 2,000 businesses and over 79,000 employees on the South Plains which accounts for over $2 billion in annual household earnings in Lubbock and West Texas. The Chamber has twice earned the distinguished 5-Star Accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and is a two-time Chamber of the Year recognized by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.
