The following is a press release from Lubbock Christian University:
Lubbock Christian University celebrates the fall season with Andrew Lippa’s musical adaption of “The Addams Family,” Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the McDonald Moody Auditorium.
In this new musical comedy, Wednesday Addams, played by senior music major Jordan Sanders, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met.
And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.
In addition to the musical, LCU and the LCU Friends of the Arts will host a family-friendly Spooky House before the Friday show from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Arnett House, 5513 22nd Street. The event will feature characters from the show, finger foods, crafts, photo opportunities, and games.
