The City of Lubbock will host a swearing-in ceremony for newly elected and re-elected Lubbock City Council Members on Monday, May 14. The ceremony will take place at City Hall, 1625 13th Street, inside the Council Chambers and is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m.
City Council Members being sworn-in to office are:
• Juan Chadis, re-elected to District 1
• Jeff Griffith, re-elected to District 3
• Randy Christian, elected to District 5
• Dan Pope, re-elected as Mayor
In addition to the swearing-in ceremony, outgoing City Councilwoman Karen Gibson will be recognized for her eight years of service to our city.
A reception will follow the ceremony and recognition. The reception will be held in Committee Room 103. All members of the community are invited to attend.
