Gary Don Boyd Graves accepted a plea agreement this week for possession of prepubescent child pornography and a federal magistrate approved his guilty plea on Thursday.
Graves admitted that he used his smart phone to browse the internet for sexually explicit images of children including children under the age of 12.
In February, a police report said his girlfriend called Lubbock Police when she found child pornography on his cell phone.
An officer wrote in the police report, “I observed several pictures of naked children being sexually [abused] by adult males. I then took the cell phone into custody as evidence.”
Graves will be sentenced at a later date to no more than 20 years in prison. He will also be required to register as a sex offender.
