Lubbock Police, and EMS were called to the report of a shooting at the Days Inn, 6025 Avenue A just after 11:40 Tuesday morning.
Police were told that someone had been shot in the stomach.
Later in the day, Lubbock Police provided the following update:
At approximately 11:40 a.m., the Lubbock Police Department received a report of a male victim with a gunshot wound at Days Inn located at 6025 South Avenue Q Drive. The victim, a 34-year-old male, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Through the investigation, it appears there was an altercation in a hotel room and the victim was shot by a male suspect. At this time, the suspect has not been located.
This case remains under investigation by LPD. Investigators with the Lubbock Texas Anti-Gang Center (TAG) are also assisting with this investigation.
