The Lubbock Police Department has identified the two teenagers shot on Tuesday in separate incidents.
The first incident occurred in the 5700 block of 50th Street just before 4:00 a.m.
As officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old male who had been shot. He was taken to UMC with serious/critical injuries.
Investigators believe the shooting happened after an argument between two groups over Snapchat.
Wednesday afternoon, the Lubbock Police Department identified the shooting victim as Andrew Ramirez, 17.
At last report, Ramirez was still listed in critical condition at University Medical Center.
The second incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. at a home on the corner of Avenue U and 48th Street.
When officers arrived they found an 18-year-old male who had been shot multiple times.
The male victim was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
LPD identified the deceased Wednesday afternoon as Ezekial Gonzales, 18
Investigators with the Lubbock Police Department Person Crimes Unit are investigating both of these incidents.
LPD does not believe the two shootings are connected.
No arrests have been made in either case at this time.
