Lubbock Police were called after a woman was injured in a shooting in the early morning hours of Wednesday.
Police responded to the 6100 block of Avenue S to find a woman was shot in the neck. She was holding a towell over the gunshot wound, according to a police report. She said she was in the living room of a home when the suspect shot her.
The police report described it as the reckless discharge of a handgun. After the shooting, the suspect left, according to the police report and the victim was taken to University Medical Center for treatment.
