The following is a news release from the Lubbock Police Department:
Investigators with the Lubbock Police Department Persons Crimes Unit are investigating an early morning fatal shooting.
On Saturday, January 20th, just before 3 a.m., an off duty officer working security at Covenant Medical Center called to report two male gunshot victims came into the emergency room by private vehicles.
One of the male victims drove himself to the hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The other male victim was dropped off by another individual and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The deceased victim has been identified as 43-year-old Raymond Lockett.
Officers received information that the shooting occurred in the parking lot outside of Club Snow located at East 4th Street and MLK Jr. Boulevard.
At this time, investigators are asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything related to this case to call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000. Callers can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
This remains an active investigation by the LPD’s Persons Crimes Unit.
