LUBBOCK, Texas – The Lubbock Police Department learned of a possible COVID-19 related scam.
“LPD has learned of a local business offering to provide letters and required documentation for essential businesses and employees. LPD and the Fire Marshal’s Office do not require any paperwork for essential businesses to remain open or for essential employees to travel to and from work. Any offering to provide such paperwork is a scam and fraudulent,” said LPD in a statement.
