UPDATE:

Lubbock Police Department officers responded to the 2400 block of East 10th Street just after 8 P.M. for a report of shots fired.

Officers were told two groups of neighbors were in a fight. One of the individuals went inside of a home and returned with a gun, firing multiple shots toward the group.

No one was injured but a vehicle was struck. The male then went back inside the house.

Officers immediately began setting up a perimeter around the area and evacuated nearby homes as a safety precaution.

Officers received information that children were possibly in the home with the suspect. The children are no longer in the house. Officers believe the male suspect is the only one inside the house.

Multiple agencies are on scene including patrol officers, K9 units, SWAT members and negotiators. Officers are trying to make contact with the male suspect.
