The following is a news release from the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra:
Lubbock Symphony Orchestra (LSO) season subscribers can now purchase tickets to the 2018 gala on October 8. LSO will take a step back from the Civic Center stage for the 2018 Gala inviting The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra to play along with world-renowned trumpeter and composer, Wynton Marsalis. Marsalis, the cofounder of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, has trained at The Juilliard School, played with Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers and received multiple GRAMMY Awards. Tickets go on sale to the general public July 1 but are already on sale to season subscribers.
“Since releasing the tickets to season subscribers on June 1, we’ve seen overwhelming interest from the community,” said Galen Wixson, LSO president and CEO. “We are honored to open our stage to the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. We believe we will present a once-in-a-lifetime experience to the Lubbock community.”

Season subscribers have exclusive early access to purchase tickets to experience the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis before they go on sale to the general public. New, lower-priced season subscription packages allow subscribers to experience all the season highlights—from Mozart and Beethoven to Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky—starting at under $100.
