Lubbock Homes for Heroes is a local charity that was developed to promote community welfare by providing homes for military families with special needs and for first responder families with special needs in the Lubbock community. They’ve partnered with Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project’s local platinum contractor, Kincaid Roofing, to supply the roof for this project which will provide a new home for local veteran Michael Vasquez.

“The work that Lubbock Homes for Heroes does in our local community is amazing,” said Kris E. Kincaid, owner of Kincaid Roofing. “Through the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project, we’re able to combine efforts and provide a roof on this home for Mr. Vasquez and ensure this is a safe home for him and his family.”

Owens Corning Roofing along with support from the Owens Corning Foundation, is donating roofing materials, Kincaid Roofing is donating the labor for this project and ABC Supply Co. out of Lubbock, Texas will be delivering the shingles. Through a partnership with Lubbock Homes for Heroes, Michael Vasquez was selected and approved as the recipient.

“It’s because of local organizations like Kincaid Roofing and Dan Wilson Homes that this program exists,” said Lubbock Homes for Heroes. “We can’t do what we do for these individuals without their generosity, donations and support.”
