On Saturday, February 24 Lubbock Parks & Recreation will hold a home alone safety training for students ahead of spring break.
It will be held at the Mae Simmons Community Center, located at 2004 Oak Ave. Parents can preregister their children by contacting the center at 806-767-2700.
The course will go over basic safety tips and advice for parents leaving their children home alone for the first time.
It is open to students ages 8 to 15. and costs $15 per person.
