All aboard! Mae Simmons Community Center will be hosting its 2nd Annual Polar Express Carnival Night on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. Bring the kids to a Christmas carnival with games, crafts, and a selfie booth. At 7:00 p.m., we will begin showing the Christmas movie, Polar Express, on our large, 13-foot tall movie screen. Kids can come dressed up in their pajamas and enjoy hot chocolate and a cookie. Concessions will also be available. This is a free, family-friendly event and is open to all ages. Parents must accompany children. A special thank you to our volunteers from Talkington School for Young Women and Trinity Middle School for providing help for the carnival. 

Mae Simmons Community and Adult Activity Centers are located at 2004 Oak Avenue. Hours for the Community Center are Monday-Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Hours for the Adult Activity Center are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information, call 767-2700 (community) or 767-2708 (adult activity).
