Maggie Trejo Supercenter Hosting Family Day on Saturday

We have something for everyone at the Maggie Trejo Supercenter Family Day on Saturday, July 22, 2017!

KIDS FISHING 101
Learn everything there is to know about fishing at the first-ever Kids Fishing 101 event on Saturday, July 22, 2017 and Saturday July 29, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Maggie Trejo Supercenter. This free, two-part fishing class introduces students to everything fishing, including types of fish, nature and the environment, and baits and casting. This event is for ages 5-17, and parent participation is encouraged. This event is sponsored by Lubbock’s Fishing Future, Los Hermanos Familia, and Parks and Recreation and will be taught by Certified Angler Educators.


HEALTH AND WELLNESS FESTIVAL
Join the City of Lubbock Health Department and Parks and Recreation for a Health and Wellness Festival on Saturday, July 22, 2107, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. There will be plenty of fun and games for the kids as well as great information from local agencies and City Departments. Bring your child’s shot records and get vaccinations for children, youth and teens. SUMMER DANCE
Maggie Trejo Supercenter will be hosting an adult Summer Dance on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Dance the night away to 70’s music, Cumbias, Country music and more at our summer-themed dance. Music will be provided by CM3 Productions. The DJ will have over 500,000 songs to choose from. There will be plenty of great music, light refreshments and fun for adults 50 and older. Tickets can be purchased for $3 per person at the door. This is a smoke-free and alcohol-free event.

Trejo Supercenter is located at 3200 Amherst Street and offers classes and programs for youth, adults and seniors including Summer Camp, Computer Classes, Sewing and Quilting, Kids Café, and more. Regular operating hours are Monday – Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Fridays 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. For more information, call (806) 767-2705.
