Nigel Michael Hargrove, 21, of Lubbock accepted a plea deal on Friday – admitting to possession of prepubescent child pornography.
According to court records, Hargrove moved in with family members in November. Within days, two young boys told their dad that Hargrove took pictures of them naked. The dad was able to access the hard drive from Hargrove’s computer and discovered images of child pornography, court records said.
One image was a girl about age 7 or 8 who was made to engage in a sex act with a boy roughly her same age. Hargrove admitted he used the internet to look for child pornography.
One of the boys that Hargrove photographed claimed Hargrove also sexually abused him. He was arrested in December and has been held in the Lubbock County Detention Center since that time.
Assuming a judge approves the plea deal, Hargrove will be sentenced to no more than 20 years in federal prison.
