A Snyder man on Thursday accepted a plea agreement for production of child pornography.
In December of 2017, law enforcement in Queensland, Australia informed INTERPOL and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about child pornography.
The child pornography was traced to the 1500 block of 27th Street in Snyder. In January, federal agents identified Virgil Lee Bailey, Jr. as the suspect.
Bailey allowed agents to search his apartment. Court records said he admitted to “viewing and downloading child pornography for the last five years.”
Court records said Bailey admitted to taking videos of himself sexually abusing a 7-year-old mentally-disabled boy.
“Both videos contained images of graphic sexual intercourse,” court records said.
The plea agreement said Bailey faces at least 15 years in prison but no more than 40 years. He also signed an acknowledgement that says he knows he must register as a sex offender. Bailey will be sentenced at a later date.
