Man hurt Sunday morning in drive-by shooting

A police report said a man was shot in the leg early Sunday morning in the 700 block of East 19th Street.

An officer with Lubbock Police was flagged down in the 600 block of East 19th by a man who had a wound to his right calf. He was walking along 19th Street when a vehicle drove up behind him. The victim told police that a passenger in the vehicle fired two shots.  One of the shots hit him in the leg and then the vehicle drove off. 


A police report said the man wrapped his leg with a shirt and tried to wave down motorists for help.  EMS took the man to University Medical Center where he was treated and released.

On Monday afternoon, police told EverythingLubbock.com that no arrest has been made yet.
