The Texas Department of Public Safety released information about a deadly crash 3 miles northeast of Wellman on U.S. Highway 62.
DPS said the crash happened about 7:30 Monday morning.
“A Chevy passenger car was traveling southeast on FM 303. The driver disregarded the stop sign at the intersection of FM 303 and US 62,” DPS said.
“The vehicle traveled into the east ditch of US 62 and struck an iron frame tin structure,” DPS also said. “The vehicle flipped end over end coming to rest in the pasture.”
The driver was identified as Marco Antonio Ramirez, 41, of La Villa, Texas. DPS said Ramirez was pronounced deceased at the scene.
