Yesterday, the Mazda Foundation (USA), Inc. and Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) together donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief fund to help those being impacted by the massive destruction of Hurricane Harvey. In Lubbock, Bob and Andy Mears of Mears Mazda have joined that relief effort by pledging to donate $100 from each car sold from now through the end of September to that same Red Cross Fund.
“We have been deeply touched by the scenes we’ve seen on television over the past couple of days and knew we needed to do something to help. We are proud of the donation that Mazda made and felt that this was a good way for Mears Mazda to be a part of helping those affected. The Red Cross is always there in times of need. They put service to others before self and we are honored to show our support to such a great organization.” said Bob Mears. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to those all across the Gulf who have been affected by this incredible storm.”
