Lubbock Police early Wednesday afternoon said Kirsten Davis, 23, was found safe.

Police said, Initially her disappearance appeared to be suspicious due to the phone call she made to her mother at 7a.m. this morning.”

“The phone call caused concern and led investigators to believe she was in distress,” police said. “Our officers began to investigate immediately and are thankful to see she is safe.”

The following is the original statement released by Lubbock Police:

Detectives with the Lubbock Police Department are currently searching for 23-year-old Kirsten Davis who was reported missing this morning [Wednesday] by a family member. At this time, Davis is considered missing and endangered.

At approximately 9 a.m. the Lubbock Police Department was notified that Davis had not returned home from the night before. Davis had last contacted her mother around 7 a.m. and was last seen in the area of 1900 69th Street.

Due to suspicious circumstances surrounding her disappearance, detectives with the Lubbock Police Department Person Crimes Unit are investigating the case.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help. If anyone has seen Davis or has information about her whereabouts, please call 911.

Davis has blonde hair and blue eyes, is 5’06” and weighs approximately 180 pounds.
