LUBBOCK, Texas– Officials said Monday night’s storms were to blame for a fire in South Lubbock.
A captain with the Woodrow Fire Department said lightning struck a satellite dish at the top of a house in the 5400 block of County Road 7365, causing an electrical fire.
They said the owners were inside the home when the fire started, but everyone was able to get out safely.
Crews were able to put the fire out quickly, but there was some damage.
We’re told the owners are now cleaning up the mess.
