Officers with Lubbock Police were called Friday afternoon to the 7000 block of University Avenue for the report of a robbery at Dove Nails.
Police were given a description of the vehicle used in the robbery, and officers found it in the 2100 block of 87th Street.
“Additional officers including a K9 team were called to the area to assist with a search for the suspect,” police said.
Police said the investigation was still ongoing and an update would be provided on the suspect or suspects when possible.
LPD provided the following update at 4:35 p.m. Friday:
Five people were arrested in the 2100 block of 87th Street following a robbery this afternoon near 70th Street and University Avenue.
Shortly after the robbery, officers spotted the suspect’s vehicle in the area of 2100 87th Street. After a search of the area and a home, three individuals were arrested for robbery and organized crime. Two additional individuals were arrested on unrelated drug charges.
