Emergency crews responded to a traffic accident involving an overturned semi-truck in extreme eastern Yoakum County Wednesday afternoon, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The accident occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 82/380 and Farm-to-Market Road 1780, just west of the community of Tokio.
DPS said a semi-truck, pulling a trailer with dry cement, turned onto FM 1780 from U.S. Highway 82/380 at an unsafe speed.
The truck and trailer rolled onto its right side and came to rest on the highway, blocking the northbound lane of FM 1780.
The driver and his passenger were not injured.
DPS said the accident did cause some minor damage to the roadway.
