LUBBOCK, Texas — Officers responded to a major accident just after 1:00 a.m. Friday morning on the South Loop access road near Avenue P.

According to a Twitter post by the Lubbock Police Department, one person has been pronounced deceased.
LPD is working on determining how this major accident happened.
As of 3:00 a.m., investigators are on scene and are asking the public to avoid the area.
