LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department responded to a crash just after 7:30 p.m. Thursday on the Interstate 27 exit at 34th Street.
According to LPD, a Honda Civic was traveling southbound on I-27 when the driver lost control, hit another vehicle causing the car to roll down an embankment.
LPD also said one person was ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency Medical Services said one person was transported to UMC with serious injuries.

LPD Investigating Major Crash
(LUBBOCK, TX) – Investigators with the Major Crash Investigation Unit responded to a major crash at 34th Street and Interstate 27 around 7:20 p.m. on June 4.
Based on the initial investigation, a Honda Civic was traveling southbound on the interstate and lost control, making contact with another vehicle. The Honda Civic then rolled down the embankment.
The driver of the Honda Civic was transported to UMC with critical injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Major Crash Investigation Unit.
