Overnight shooting leaves 1 wounded

LUBBOCK, Texas — Around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night, Lubbock Police department responded to the 300th block of 50th street to reports of a shooting.

The shooting happened at a storage facility near Family Dollar when a car drove up and shot at two people.


One person was transported to University Medical Center with moderate injuries after being struck twice.

LPD is investigating and no arrests have been made as of Friday morning.

LPD issued the following brief update:

Around 11 p.m., on July 25th, police responded to a shots fired call.

A 21-year-old male was taken to UMC in critical but stable condition.

The suspect was not located in the area. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation by Lubbock Police Department detectives.
