Recent rains have caused a delay in the regular mowing schedule of City parks. The ground has become too soft in some areas for the heavier equipment to be used effectively. Contractors and staff are working hard to keep new growth under control, but with more rain in the forecast, additional delays could occur.
City staff is supplementing contract mowing temporarily. Contractors are being allowed to adjust their mowing height by half an inch and mow after hours and on weekends in an effort to get back on schedule as soon as possible. If you have an area of concern, please contact 311.
