Patterson Library to host Covenant Mobile Mammography

The following is a news release from the City of Lubbock:

Early detection is key in the fight against breast cancer. That is why, on September 13, 2018, Covenant will bring Mobile Mammography to the Bobbie Gean and TJ Patterson Branch Library.

Covenant mobile mammography accepts most medical insurance plans, Medicare and Medicaid. For those who qualify, financial assistance may be available through Covenant’s partnership with Susan G. Komen Foundation-West Texas Affiliate.

To schedule an appointment, please call the Mobile Mammography Scheduling Office at 877-494-4797 or 806-755-6579. You will need to verify you are at least 40 years old and have not had a mammogram within the last year.

If you are unsure of what to expect during the exam, Covenant’s Vickie Reynolds will be out at the Patterson Branch Library on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 5:30-6:30pm to provide insight into the exam and the importance of being tested. She will be able to answer any questions the public has about scheduling an appointment as well.

The Patterson Branch Library is located at 1836 Parkway Drive. Our hours of operation are Monday and Tuesday, 10am – 7pm, and Wednesday through Saturday, 9am – 6pm. To reach the Patterson Branch Library, call 806-767-3300 or visit us online at www.lubbocklibrary.com.

Lubbock Public Library is committed to providing open access to information, recreation, cultural awareness and lifelong learning resources. The Friends of the Lubbock Library provide all library program funding.
