This event will kick off the 16th Year that Texas Tech Football and RMHC have partnered for the Quarterback S.A.C.K. promotion. This effort raises money and awareness for the charity while allowing fans to show support for the Red Raiders. It also helps teach the student athletes to give back to their communities they live in.
S.A.C.K. stands for “Support And Comfort Kids.”
Fans are asked to log on to Pledgesackwin.com to make a pledge for Quarterback S.A.C.K., then each time the Red Raider’s Defense sacks an opposing quarterback, their pledges will help sick or injured children and their families.
Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are an extension of the Ronald McDonald House program. They are located at Covenant Children’s Hospital and University Medical Center in Lubbock and Medical Center Hospital in Odessa and provide a personal respite right inside the hospital for families of children undergoing medical treatment. These beautiful rooms offer many of the comforts of home to help alleviate the anxiety of being in a hospital environment while being only a heartbeat away from their child.
RMHC is a non-profit charity whose programs serve 68 counties of West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico.
Contributions stay local and continue to support families of this area. Over 80% of our income is generated by donations.
No family is ever turned away for inability to pay and may stay for as long as it takes for their child to heal.
