LUBBOCK, Texas — Plainview Independent School District and New Deal Independent School District announced Thursday that they will cancel school on Friday March 13.
Both school districts said in separate releases that they are doing it as a preventative measure.
PISD said the cancellation will allow the district to intensify deep cleaning efforts.
Both districts will have Spring Break the week of March 16.
