Lubbock Police on Tuesday released names and images of two suspects in the robbery of Sonic last week at 7720 Quaker Avenue.
Police said warrants have been issued for Angelica Marie Alafa, 29, and Joe Louis Garcia, 26. Police said four people were in a car during the robbery and police were still working to identify two more suspects.
Police said the people in the car tried to use a stolen debit card to order food. When the card did not work, the driver of the car took off.
“While they were attempting to speed away, a Sonic employee had to jump on the hood of the vehicle to avoid being run over,” police said. “The suspects continued driving for about a block with the employee on the hood.”
The Sonic employee was able to get off of the car safely about a block away and she was not injured.
