The following is a news release from the Lubbock Police Department:

At approximately 12:41 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, officers responded to a residence at 1507 48th Street in reference to a disturbance and shots being fired. When officers arrived they questioned several people in the neighborhood who said they heard three gunshots in the area.

It appears someone fired shots in the front yard of the home. At this time no victims have been identified, no damage has been located from the gunshots, no suspect has been located and no arrests have been made. However, officers did locate three shell casing in the front yard.
