Lubbock Police on Tuesday morning provided updated information about a deadly crash that happened Monday morning in the 2200 block of Interstate 27.
“The SUV driver pronounced deceased at the hospital has been identified as 40-year-old Dorian Puente,” police said. “The two passengers, a 12-year-old female and 14-year-old male remain in the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.”
Police planned to temporarily shut down a portion of the Interstate-27 northbound access road between 22nd Street and 23rd Street on Tuesday. They were doing so as part of the investigation of the crash.
On Monday police said it appears the SUV rear ended the semi-truck.
