Police search a field in the Zoe Campos case

Wednesday afternoon, Lubbock Police on horseback searched a field to the southeast of Interstate 27 and 66th Street looking for evidence related to the Zoe Campos case.

Police confirmed the search was related to the Campos case but did not provide additional details.

Last week a tip led police to search the backyard of a home in the 1900 block of 70th Street.  Police said a bone was found in the backyard, and so far police have not said if that bone has been identified as human.

The homeowner said police were bringing in specialized equipment to search even further in the back yard.

Campos was 18 years old when she disappeared on November 17, 2013.  To this point, no one has been charged with a crime related to her disappearance.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
