The following is a news release from the Lubbock Police Department:
Lubbock Police Department Accident Investigators will temporarily shut down the intersection of 82nd Street and Avenue U on Tuesday, April 3rd from 9 a.m. to approximately noon. The closure will expand about one block east and one block west of the Avenue U intersection on 82nd Street.
This closure will allow accident investigators to continue their investigation into the March 22nd crash involving a Lubbock Police Department K-9 Unit. The driver of the other vehicle, 57-year-old Patricia Holt, was arrested at the scene of the crash for driving while intoxicated.
