Xcel Energy reported several communities experienced power outages Friday evening after severe weather moved through part of the South Plains.

In Ralls, Xcel Energy said most residents on the south side of town will have power around 11 p.m. Friday. However, residents living in northern Ralls will likely have to wait until all repairs are complete. Xcel said it may take until Saturday afternoon to restore power in that area.

The City of Ralls asks residents to conserve water because pumps are not running, according to the city’s Facebook page. Water will not be turned off at this time, but it is a possibility. Follow updates on their Facebook page here.

Approximately 2,400 people are without power in Ralls.

In Crosbyton, power should be restored to most customers around 11 p.m. Friday, Xcel Energy said as of 9 p.m. Friday. The City of Crosbyton said on Facebook, however, power outages may last until Saturday morning because of downed power lines.

Big Four and Cone residents may not have power restored until Saturday afternoon.

As of 9:40 p.m., Highway 62/82 was reduced down to one lane each way. With debris scattered across yards and roadways, officials ask everyone to be cautious when traveling in the area.
