LUBBOCK, Texas — More than 1,200 homes or businesses in West Lubbock lost power for a time on Sunday afternoon.  The Lubbock Power and Light website showed an outage as of 3:44 pm, and at 4:12, a spokesman for the company said power was restored to all customers.

The cause of the outage has not yet been disclosed.  It was the second major outage since Friday evening when 960 homes or businesses lost power for about 90 minutes.  The Friday outage was caused by a mylar balloon coming in contact with power lines.
