Texas Tech University’s Innovation Hub at Research Park, AccelerateH2O and the Regional Water Innovation Partnership are now accepting proposals of water technology solutions for the “West Texas: The New American Oasis, One-Water Demonstration Hub & Tech Showcase.”
Over the course of the demonstration initiative, a series of technology showcases will be held to present findings, recommendations and opportunities for end users among small and rural water systems, entrepreneurs and innovators, investors and procurement decision makers in Texas’ $9 billion water marketplace.
This unique program aligns technical, scientific, innovative and economic performance to address drought resiliency, uninterruptible supplies and alternative models for small and rural systems. The call for proposals seeks to spark a new approach for water management across agriculture, oil and gas, light industrial and municipal sectors.
Teams from technology and equipment firms or engineering companies, teams of inventors and innovators and teams with investment and financial expertise are invited to push the edges of traditional thinking and present breakthrough packages for demonstration and technology showcase opportunities in the High Plains and West Texas region.
Facilities and sites for the showcase include small municipal systems, active oil and gas production rig-disposal wells, dairy farm/ranches/co-ops, industrial light manufacturers and state-lands. The call for proposals and program are conducted on a fee-for-service basis.
A series of webinars will be held in May to answer questions from interested teams and participants. The first webinar will be held at 11 a.m. CDT Wednesday (May 9).
