The 10th annual Vamos a Pescar, Let’s Go Fishing event will be hosted Saturday at Buddy Holly Lake, regardless of rainy conditions.
The event takes place from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, according to event organizers Los Hermanos Familia. It is a free event, and all adults must be accompanied by a child.
Buddy Holly Lake, located on North University Avenue and Cesar E. Chavez Drive, was cleaned by volunteers and stocked with catfish.
Only lightning will prevent the event from taking place.
Pre-registration ends at midnight Saturday. Families can also register on site.
